3rd February 2015 – RPG Site]As we reported earlier, Android Nougat pre-installation began for certain Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge units, and the company has now posted the firmware on their website for all users to download and install if they wish.
According to the changelog posted, users of S7 Edge, S7, S6 Edge, S6, S5, and S5 Active should have the newest iteration of Android installed as soon as possible, while some may still have to wait until tomorrow.
Moreover, it seems that Samsung also intends to update all devices with Android Marshmallow for the sake of 1-click updates at a later date, as most of the S7 line have already received the update to Android 7.0 Nougat.
Samsung has begun the process of preloading the Nougat update for S7 and S7 Edge owners — a first for the company, but this should come as no surprise, as the Android version is always available for download for these units.
