In 2014, the front office took a big leap of faith in hiring Joe Dumars as the team’s new president of basketball operations.
In the last month, the Pistons have seen a front office shake up with more coming.
Jon Horst was hired as a consultant and then fired on Monday.
Then Bruce Pearl, the head coach at Boise State, was hired as an assistant coach.
Bruce Payne has also been hired as a scout, assistant coach, and a consultant.
Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars has remained silent on his plans.
But there was a lot of speculation he would be moving on from his role in the front office.
“I think that Joe Dumars is going to want to do his thing,” Dumars was quoted as saying by Pistons.com. “He wants to be with his players and his coaches and be able to be behind the scenes with everything.”
