Not just because of the playoffs or their 8-2 run to the Eastern Conference Finals, but because of the turbulence in the front office.

Jon Horst was hired as a consultant and then fired on Monday.

Then Bruce Pearl, the head coach at Boise State, was hired as an assistant coach.

Bruce Payne has also been hired as a scout, assistant coach, and a consultant.

Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars has remained silent on his plans.

But there was a lot of speculation he would be moving on from his role in the front office.

“I think that Joe Dumars is going to want to do his thing,” Dumars was quoted as saying by Pistons.com. “He wants to be with his players and his coaches and be able to be behind the scenes with everything.”

Last July, Dumars told the media in a conference
