Delhi Soccer Association – DSA has unanimously elected THEIR FIRST EVER UNOPPOSED PRESIDENT IN HISTORY – MR. ANUJ GUPTA – He is the youngest President ever to be elected. Mr. Anuj Gupta is a Solicitor from England & Wales and also an Advocate in India.
DSA with over 100 club members, has been there since 1926 and is one of the oldest sports associations of India.
Delhi has a Glorious History associated with football.
*The club- Youngmen was (estb.1898) being the Oldest Delhi Football Club. Delhi played in the final of the inaugural Santosh Trophy in 1941 and won the Santosh Trophy in 1944.
*Delhi started hosting the third oldest tournament of the world – Durand Cup since 1940s and the Delhi Football League is one of the oldest in India (Since 1930s)
*The newly unopposed elected President – Mr. Anuj Gupta has got more than 10 years of working experience in football. (From Grassroots to managing a Spanish Club) The President pledges to work together with all football –
Clubs/Acadamies/ Schools/Colleges with an aim to transform Delhi Football to its highest possible level.
*By 2026- Anuj Gupta plans to reach over 20,000-30,000 aspiring footballers across all categories and develop them from Grassroot to professional football in its entirety.
*Anuj Gupta, an ex-Modernite and from being a B.Com(Hons) graduate from Sriram College of Commerce and dually qualified lawyer from England and India, also owns an I-League Club called, “Sudeva Delhi FC” along with owning a 4th Division Spanish Club called, “ CD Olimpic De Xativa”. He is very passionate and brings with him a lot of positive energy, and honesty to the association. And he is bound to bring a lot of on ground execution in a very short time.
*Anuj Gupta already owns a 200 bed residential academy for boys & girls spanning across 13 acres of land in the heart of Delhi. He will revolutionise the football ecosystem by brining all football loving and playing community under one big roof, so that the game grows through all measures.
