Hello Guys
Just a couple of things before this post. First, I am always looking for new ways to get my words out there, and this is a new platform that I’m starting to use. Second, I won’t be posting about every little thing I do in my life.
So without further ado, here are a few of my most recent activities.
Took a long drive in my car yesterday, with my best friends Gaudielle and Victor (names came from the movies). We bought an acoustic guitar and got started on a musical project. Gaudielle and I were born into a musical family – we have been playing guitar and piano since we were teenagers, and we have also been playing it since we became interested in music.
But for some reason, we decided to start a new project as we always do when we get together. We pulled out some classic hymns and ballads on our guitars and played songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. The songs are by popular artists such as Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, The Carters, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Van Morrison, Nirvana and The Beatles. We really enjoyed them, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to just play and sing along to each song.
Our project lasted about 20 minutes as we pulled out some more songs. I suggested we do some other genres and themes, and we played a song by “Owl City” and one by “Kanye West”.
It was fun, Gaudielle and I definitely thought it was a good opportunity for all of us to play together and figure out where each of our musical styles lie, and also what our goals are with this project.

On the weekend, Gaudielle and I hosted an open jam session at our home. We invited some people who liked to play guitar to come and jam with us. As people came, we gave everyone a lanyard to wear with their names on it.
Some people came with guitars, and some came with ukes or banjos or mandolins. We wanted to allow people to express themselves

Soak the fish in a mix of soda ash (about 1/2 cup per 4 cups of water) and table salt for about two hours before you cook it. The salt draws water out of the fish and the soda ash draws out the moisture from the fish to keep it moist during cooking. Make sure the fish is thoroughly covered in salt and soda ash. If it is not, the fish may not cook as well.
Once you have soaked the fish, drain it and fry it the same as if it were cooked. Pour the fish into a shallow pan and keep it as hot as you can. Cover with a wire grate for easier flipping. Alternatively, you can fry the fish in a cast iron pan but a shallow layer will probably be necessary to keep it from burning.
